...Lovage. From wikipedia.com:
Lovage is a collaborative project headed by Dan the Automator, under his alias "Nathaniel Merriweather" (a persona he created for the project Handsome Boy Modeling School). The album is called Music to Make Love to Your Old Lady By, which was created in team with Mike Patton and Jennifer Charles, who both provide vocals. Kid Koala plays turntables and samples and toured with the band for their 13 city U.S. tour.
And here's a sample:
"Lifeboat"
Lyrics:
After all our dreams went down
Sinking for our very eyes
Still echoing the sound
Oh the frozen dreadful cries
Witnessed the passing of our only loves
Lose a battle to the sea
Why did you choose my only love
It could of easily been me
But it seems there was some other plan
One I don't care to understand
In the refuge of these foreign arms
I could find your holy land
How can it be that we defy this tragedy
From this lifeboat in the dark
Is it wrong that we could come together
Wind and sorrow bear a spark
In our soul and desperation
Truest thing we'd ever known
But to admit that to the world would be blasphemy
Just to show we had our ground
How can it be that we defy this tragedy
From this lifeboat in the dark
Is it wrong that we could come together
Wind and sorrow bear a spark
How can it be that we defy this tragedy
From this lifeboat in the dark
Is it wrong that we could come together
Wind and sorrow bear a spark
How can it be that we defy this tragedy
From this lifeboat in the dark
Is it wrong that we could come together
Wind and sorrow bear a spark
Whew! Is it hot in here? Ha ha ha... :)
After all our dreams went down

I know you are trying to convert us all to raging Patton fans like yourself...
And I have to say...had you not introduced me to his music, I probably never would have listened to any of it.
But the man is certainly talented!
Thanks for sharing! :)
Okay, I love that song. However, I am still hesitant to go pick up a Lovage disc. Tomahawk is hit or miss for me, as is Peeping Tom(Love, love, love, Mojo, God Hates a Coward, and Sweet Smell of Success). I will never be a full convert, some of his shit is just too far out there for me.
